The new Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic features a 4.7 liter V8 which develops 433 bhp at 7,000 rpm. The maximum torque is 361 lb-ft at 4,750 rpm.

The heart of the new car is the combination of an automatic transmission with the most powerful V8 in the GranTurismo range – until now offered only as 4.2 liter with the automatic transmission or 4.7 liter with an electro-actuated manual gearbox. Thanks to the combination of the 433 bhp produced by the powerful 4.7 liter V8 engine and the smoothness of the ZF 6-speed automatic transmission, the Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic offers the effortless driving of the original granturismo concept while at the same time offering peak performance.

The Skyhook suspension system, featuring continuously adjustable dampers, provides a comfortable ride but also gives true sports-car handling at just the touch of the 'Sport' button on the dash. Passive safety is further enhanced thanks to the introduction on the GranTurismo range of a new generation of passenger air-bag with Low Risk Deployment functionality.

Consistent with the unmistakable Pininfarina design of all Maseratis the Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic features some marked stylistic differences, most notable being the new 20” wheel rims with a Trident design masterfully integrated into the spokes.

A further enriched equipment list increases the on-board pleasure for the driver - and for the three passengers, since the GranTurismo offers true seating for four adults. Also included, as standard, is the hard drive-based navigation system with 30GB of music storage, Bluetooth® wireless technology, Ipod® interface, and Bose® surround sound. The Maserati Multi Media System is also pre-wired for Sirius® satellite radio.
