Maserati at the Detroit Motorshow

11-01-2009 - Detroit
The North American International Auto Show, the year’s traditional curtain raiser held in the American Motor City, was the perfect backdrop for Maserati to present its new Quattroporte Sport GT S.

The sportiest version of the Modenese company’s flagship model attracted admiring looks from visitors. The car embodies the fine state the company is in, a fact backed up by record sales in 2008 and by the words of chief executive Harald J. Wester.

On the stand alongside the Quattroporte Sport GT S was the fantastic 8CTF (better known as the Boyle Special) in which Wilbur Shaw won the Indianapolis 500 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Maserati's first Indy 500 win.

Maserati also had a Quattroporte S and a GranTurismo on display at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Visitors could also browse through the accessories and personalisation options that render each Maserati unique as well as products from the Maserati Store.
