The design of the Maserati GranTurismo S: the look of enhanced performance
The aerodynamic enhancements to the exterior of the Maserati GranTurismo S speak to the elevated performance of this signature coupé.
The new lower side skirts and the rear spoiler, which is integrated into the trailing edge of the trunk, combine to give the car a decidedly aggressive look as well as improving its aerodynamic efficiency. Developed in the wind tunnel, the side skirts contribute to directing airflow past the rear wheels while the rear spoiler increases downforce at speed.
The car’s styling is accentuated by the black grille and the dark headlight bezels that team up to give the front of the car its aggressive poise. The Maserati GranTurismo S is also equipped with unique seven-spoke 20” rims; a new design that features an eye-catching Trident in each spoke.
Matching the standard red color of the six-piston Brembo brake calipers, the Trident logo in the center of the grille and the oval ‘Saetta’ logo on the rear pillars feature red accents, further setting the ‘S’ model apart from the standard GranTurismo.
